Amirim has set a goal to promote multi-year community projects in the science studies domain with the understanding that helping students acquire these tools while they are still young would foster growth in the field in the future.
Amirim promotes science tutoring projects, in the framework of which student teachers from the science faculty tutor high school students in order to improve their achievements in math subjects.
The tutoring project helps students cope with preparatory work before matriculation examinations, allows them a peek into the world of science on an academic level, and instills in them the will and motivation to choose science studies in the future.
A major part of the project is the distribution of NIS 5,000 scholarships to every mentoring student after completing his/her commitment. The scholarship allows the students to focus on their studies and instills in them the values of giving to others and contributing to the community.
